Luton, BedfordshireI found June on Google after searching for driving instructors in my area, and I made initial contact to book my first lesson after deciding to switch instructors, she was *initially* helpful and asked me questions about my level and recommended I stay with my previous instructor.
After a couple of weeks, I made the decision to start taking lessons with June and reached out to her to arrange my first lesson.
Our first lesson went okay but she arrived 10 minutes late due to traffic, she wasn't remotely apologetic and said she got caught up in traffic which shows her route planning skills are not very good for such an experienced instructor *as she claims.*
During the lesson, she assessed my level and corrected my mistakes, something I noticed which made me uncomfortable was that she kept making weird jokes about not being on a picnic every time I removed my hand off the steering wheel on a traffic stop, initially I laughed it off but found it strange but I gave her the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe she has a weird sense of humour, she then proceeded to repeat the same joke mutliple times (at least 3) and even said you are dressed for a picnic and are missing sandwiches which I found so rude and inappropriate given she is my instructor and has no business making weird jokes as it is my first time meeting her.
Anyway, after the lesson, we agreed on having a lesson the following week, on the day, I texted her 1 hour before the lesson to ask if it is possible to reschedule since I had a viral infection and was feeling poorly, she was very passive agressive and said it is not good enough and I then apologised and asked if we can have a lesson after 2 days if she is available and she informed me that she was fully booked.
I didn't find it strange as I understand she has a busy schedule so I asked if our lesson the following week is still okay for her, she didn't reply ever since and blocked me on WhatsApp (the message has one tick to this day and her profile picture disappeared).
After a couple of days, I reached out the day before my lesson to confirm my lesson again and tried calling her and texting her on both whatsapp and on normal call and text, my calls were going straight to voicemail and I found it weird but left a message asking for a call back from her anyway.
I received no response so I asked my friend to send her a text so I can check if her number is working as I started to think she either lost her number or her phone, she replied to my friend which proved that she indeed blocked my number and she was rude to my friend once she mentioned my name and told her she has no availability after initially saying she is taking new students when my friend texted her the first time.
Overall, if you are looking for an unprofessional instructor, I encourage you to reach out, you will probably be met with fake politness the first time you speak to her and then after the first couple of lessons, she will switch and block you too (if she doesn't like something you did instead of communicating it), there is another review very similar to mine so it seems she has a pattern of avoiding communication and blocking people she doesn't like, she is also very insecure and was going on about how she has an excellent track record with her past students when I didn't ask her.
A perfect way to waste your time and money is to reach out to her but feel free to try it out for yourself to have the full authentic experience.
